Scope:

FSACE’s ongoing involvement on the Tunnels and Stations package for the Metro Tunnel Project in Melbourne has included a wide variety of tunnelling and associated infrastructure construction temporary works designs, including:

• Retaining and hoarding structures;
• Tramline support and tram shelter structures;
• Access gangways, temporary driveways, vehicle barriers, ramps and stairs;
• Service and personnel gantries including protection structures over, air scrubber enclosures;
• Chemical bund slabs, vehicle service areas and davit arm structures;
• Support structures for existing services during excavation, precast permanent formwork walls;
• Tunnel boring machine (TBM) jacking arrangements, support systems and alignment frames and headwalls;
• Penetration covers, hoist access platforms, monorails and service ladders and frames; and
• Prefabricated reinforcement cages including arch reinforcement cage handling and installation structures.
